My Education

"Anderson University is a private Christian university of 2,700
undergraduate and graduate students in central Indiana.
Anderson continues to be recognized as a top Christian college:
in 2008, U.S. News and World Report ranked Anderson University
among the best colleges and universities in the Midwest
for the fourth consecutive year. Established in 1917 by the
Church of God, Anderson University offers more than
65 undergraduate majors and graduate programs in
business, education, music, nursing and theology."

Beginning my freshman year, I was immersed in one practicum after another as it would often be that we would have one practicum experience each semester. Most of my class sizes in the School of Education program were no larger than about 25 students. Anderson University professors use this to develop strong relationships to support students as they move throughout their four years on campus. The AU School of Education has students attend interviews at two different times throughout the program to insure direct participation in the interview process. I believe my college experience has guided me in recognizing my strengths and providing me with the tools to support my weaknesses. My education has prepared me to understand the paths I need to take to teach, to communicate, and to connect with those that have special needs.
