Special Olympics Team Coach      I participated in Special Olympics during my sophomore and junior year in college. My athleticism is somewhat limiting, so I usually chose to assist the one sport that didn't require much background knowledge… track. Each year, I supported the athletes who came to compete in relays, and I found so much joy in watching them take ownership and pride in what they were a part of. This is where I learned what success really looks like.
