Ramapo for Children
(cont'd from Page 1)

This experience is where I learned behavior management techniques and interventions. After working there, I realized I had developed a self confidence that I was missing upon my arrival. Every day I woke up thinking that there was no way I would be able to do it again, but those kids required 110%, and I discovered that I can do anything if I really want it.

Lorin* taught me that all children should have a way to communicate their needs
Bre* taught me to give my very best everyday, because less-than-my-best is quite often not enough.
Britany* taught me that it's okay to be angry (as long as i do not push anyone in the lake).
Kim* taught me that generalized encouragement gets old fast.
Jenna* taught me how to be fearless when climbing a 20-foot tree trunk.
Meredith* taught me how to support a mother who is dying of cancer.
Katherine* taught me how to believe in children, instead of trying to solve their problems.
Celestina* taught me that surprise changes in the schedule are not fun for everyone.
Amanda* taught me there is typically a reason behind every negative action or attitude.
Karen* taught me to let the little, unimportant things go.
Amanda* taught me not to expect the bad behavior, but to try harder to see the good attitudes.
